Abstract (EN)
Lighting is one of the important elements for the physical environment we live in. Today, with energy consumption, energy efficient structures have gained importance. In these buildings, natural lighting design has become a parameter to be considered in terms of energy efficiency and visual comfort. Within the scope of this study, two LEED Certified office buildings were examined within the scope of natural lighting. Office volumes were compared to the current situation by both field measurements and using the lighting simulation program. Improvement suggestions have been analyzed for situations where natural lighting is insufficient in terms of illuminance and visual comfort. The data obtained are presented in tables to form a guideline. As a result of the study, it is aimed to reveal that natural lighting designs are important in energy efficient buildings and should be evaluated starting from the building design process. It is evaluated that the studies in this field should be improved.
