Abstract (EN)

Climate change and environmental issues are among the most significant problems humanity faces today due to the effects of global warming. This situation makes it important to raise the level of green awareness among individuals and businesses. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between Generation Z individuals working in different sectors in Eskişehir and Kütahya's perceptions of green transformational leadership and their levels of green awareness, and to identify differences according to sociodemographic characteristics. The data in the study were collected using an individual descriptive form, the Green Transformational Leadership Scale, and the Green Awareness Scale; they were analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) 25.0 and AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structures) 23.0 programs. The analyses revealed statistically significant differences in green awareness based on gender, educational status, professional position, and type of institution, while gender, educational status, professional position, and sector of employment had a statistically significant impact on the green transformational leadership scale. Furthermore, it was found that employees' perceptions of green transformational leadership were strongly correlated with their levels of green awareness. The study is expected to guide the development of corporate strategies targeting Generation Z, which is now beginning to take its place in businesses.
