Nanotechnology is a rapidly developing field of research recently and has been seen a new method that enables the use of biological materials for the production of nanoparticles. Nanoparticles (NP), which can be produced for many different fields and purposes; are at the size vary from nanometers to a thousandth of a milimeters. These tiny particles can change the performance of any material which they are contacted because of their small size, direction, and physical properties. These particles can be simply prepared by different approaches such as chemical, physical and biological methods. However, the biological approach is the most promising approach among other methods due to simplicity and environmentally friendly conditions. The production of nanoparticle by means of biological approach does not require any high temperature, asidic/basic conditions and hazardous chemicals. Therefore, this method named as "green synthesis". The main purpose of this study is to produce and characterize metal nanoparticles by combining microsystems and green synthesis methods. For this purpose, in the first step, 3D printer supported soft lithography techniques were used for the design and fabrification of microsystems. In the second step, zinc nanoparticles synthesis was carried out by the reducing effects of molecules such as flavonoids and terpenoids in red cabbage (Brassica oleracea var.capitata f. Rubra) extracts. The synthesis of nanoparticles achieved by trying different parameters such as; extract, Zinc ratio, Zinc solution concentration, flow rates and flow rates ratio in the microplatform and, temperature. At the end of the particle size characterization of the produced nanoparticles, the lowest (718 nm) sized and relatively homogeneous particles were produced under the conditions where Zinc nitrate was used as the dispersing phase and the flow rate ratio was 1:2. The antimicrobial activity of produced nanoparticles under these conditions was also investigated. The results showed that the herbal red cabbage components can be used for by green synthesis of metal nanoparticles. In this study, it was aimed to synthesize zinc nanoparticles by reducing effects of metabolites such as flavonoids and terpenoids found in the extract of the red cabbage (Brassica oleracea var.capitata f. Rubra), which is an endemic medicinal plant.The synthesis of nanoparticles was carried out by trying different parameters such as extract, Zinc ratio, Zinc solution concentration and flow rates and flow rates ratio in the microplatform and temperature. The most suitable production conditions were determined after the structural characterization of obtained nanoparticles. The antimicrobial activity of nanoparticles which is produced atoptimized conditions was also investigated. Keywords: Zing, Red cabbage, Nano particle, Nano tecnology, Green synthesis
