Özet (EN)

The purpose of this research is to examine whether there is a relationship between adult individuals' attachment styles, psychological resilience and mindfulness levels. In addition, another aim of the research is to examine these characteristics in terms of demographic variables, including gender, income level and romantic relationship status. The sample of the research consists of 339 participants in the 18-45 age group (30,24±6,65). 243 (71.7%) of the participants were women and 96 (28.3%) were men. The data of the research were provided to the participants through the Demographic Information Form, Inventory of Experiences in Close Relationships, Brief Resilience Scale and Mindful Attention Awareness Scale. The research was designed in the relational survey model, one of the quantitative research methods. The data obtained from the participants were analyzed using the SPSS 29 package program. For the statistical analyses, Independent Samples t-Test, One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, and Hierarchical Regression Analysis were performed. According to the findings, anxious and avoidant attachment styles showed a negative correlation with psychological resilience. Additionally, both anxious and avoidant attachment styles were found to be negatively associated with levels of mindfulness. On the other hand, a positive correlation was observed between psychological resilience and mindfulness. Participants from the low-income group reported significantly higher levels of anxious attachment compared to those from the middle-income group. Individuals who were not in a romantic relationship had significantly higher scores on both anxious and avoidant attachment styles than those who were in a relationship. Furthermore, male participants exhibited significantly higher levels of psychological resilience compared to female participants. It was also found that participants who were in a romantic relationship had significantly higher levels of mindfulness than those who were not in a relationship. Regression analyses revealed that anxious attachment significantly predicted both psychological resilience and mindfulness; avoidant attachment significantly predicted mindfulness; and mindfulness significantly predicted psychological resilience. These results highlight the critical role of attachment styles and mindfulness in fostering psychological resilience.
