Abstract (EN)

Today, air pollution, which is one of the most important problems both indoors and outdoors in urban areas, has become a global problem that affects the health of millions of people every year. Among the air pollution factors, heavy metals have a special importance because they tend to bioaccumulate, they can be toxic to human health even at low concentrations, and even those necessary for living things as food elements can be harmful at high concentrations. For this reason, it is of great importance to monitor both the change in the concentrations of heavy metals in the air and to reduce the level of pollution. In order to contribute to the studies in this field, within the scope of this study, the change of Cr, Pb, Ni, Co, Cd, V, Al, Ba, B, Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn, Na, K, Ca, Mg and P concentrations of camel sole, difenbahia, drasena, rubber, cheflera, spatifilium and yucca plants grown in control, cigarette and traffic environments was determined. As a result of the study, it was determined which species are the most suitable for monitoring the change of each heavy metal concentration in the air.
