Abstract (EN)

In this study, for determining the elastic behavior of masonry walls that are the most important structural elements of the masonry structures, micro modeling by plane bar elements is proposed. The model was created systematically by entering the walls support conditions and the dimensions of the brick units master thickness and the modulus of elasticity. The analysis of the model was carried out by the developed computer program by using the matrix displacement method. The results were then compared with the sample solutions taken from the literature. In this context, the existing literature review has been made in the first part of the study. In the existing literature, the studies related to the modeling of masonry walls had been addressed. Then, in the second chapter, in addition to the masonry structures and the materials used in masonry walls, the modeling techniques in masonry structures have been discussed. In the third part, the matrix displacement method used in the analysis of the system in the context of the study was examined. In the fourth chapter, the modeling technique that was proposed for micro modeling of the masonry walls with plane frame and truss elements has been described. In the fifth chapter, introducing the computer program developed, elastic analysis of some examples in the literature have been made with the modelling method proposed, and the compatible results with the literature have been achieved.
