Supportıve Nursıng Care For Icu Patıents, Structured Accordıng To Comfort Theory INTRO AND PURPOSE: Nursing interventions, which has been configured to conform In this study, the mutual comfort needs of intensive care patients that were supported by various materials such as tablet computers and remote video call systems ,which was configured according to the comfort theory and applied to patients in the form of nursing interventions.. It was planned to examine that the effects of nursing interventions which was structured according to the comfort theory, applied to patients on the comfort levels of the patients and their perceived environmental stressor levels. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The study, which was planned in an experimental design with control (n: 25) and intervention (n: 25) groups, was conducted on 15.10.19-15.02.2020 in accordance with the randomized controlled research design. In the study, firstly, common comfort needs of intensive care patients were determined and nursing care plans structured according to the comfort theory were created for intensive care patients. While the patients in the control group were followed in standard intensive care conditions, structured nursing interventions were applied to the patients in the intervention group. The data of the study were collected using the "Patient Identification Form", "General Comfort Scale" and "Intensive Care Unit Environmental Stressor Scale". While evaluating the study data, parametric tests were used. FINDINGS: It was determined that the mean score of patients in the intervention group (142±28±10.84) was significantly higher than the mean score of patients in the control group (111.36±13.34) (p>0.05).The average scores of the YBÜÇSÖ, which has a negative relationship with the GKÖ, were 86.25±14.38 in the intervention group and 111.80±14.25 in the control group and this difference was found to be statistically significant (p<0.05). CONCLUSION: According to research findings, it was concluded that supportive nursing care which was structured acc to the comfort theory for intensive care patients, increases the general comfort level of the patients and reduces perceived environmental stressors in intensive care.
