Abstract (EN)
Aim: The aim of this study is to conduct the Turkish validity and reliability study of the Nursing Care Quality Scale in Intensive Care Units developed by Zeraati and Masoudi Alavi (2014). Material and Methods: This research was conducted of methodological type. The sample of the study consisted of 300 intensive care nurses working in the adult intensive care units of four state hospitals and two training and research hospitals in two provinces in the Central and Eastern Black Sea Region between July 1, 2022 and April 1, 2023, and who voluntarily agreed to participate in the study. Personal Information Form and Nursing Care Quality Scale in Intensive Care Units were used as data collection tools. For the validity study of the scale, language scope and structural validity analyses were conducted, and for reliability, internal consistency analysis was conducted. Results: In order to measure the language validity of the Nursing Care Quality Scale in Intensive Care Units, the most preferred method, translation-back translation, was used. Factor analysis was performed to determine the structural validity of the Nursing Care Quality Scale in Intensive Care Units. Bartlett test results show that the data are related to each other and are suitable for factor analysis. When the Nursing Care Quality Scale in Intensive Care Units was examined as a single factor as in its original structure, it was determined that the factor loadings of all items belonging to the scale were above 0.30 and the explained variance was 19.607%. For this reason, no item was removed from the scale at this stage and a one-dimensional structure was accepted in the Turkish language. As a result of the relevant fit index values, it was decided that this version of the model was acceptable. Conclusions: Nursing Care Quality Scale in Intensive Care Units is a valid and reliable measurement tool in terms of Turkish language and culture.
