Microcredit programs in reducing poverty: The example of Afyonkarahisar

This study was used in order to reduce poverty, micro-credit could be to examine how effective the method is intended to reduce poverty. Definition of the concept of poverty and the basic approaches and opinions of the concept in the world and in Turkey, after giving the appearance of the phenomenon of global poverty is examined.Poverty is the most women experience victimization. Therefore, women coping with this how they are analyzed. Micro-lending practices that many people facing poverty, how to fight, and that can be helpful in working life by beneficiaries, poverty and coping strategies are discussed. Detailed review of the concept of poverty in the world and in Turkey, showing the effect is to create awareness in this area. Micro-credit study in the province of Afyonkarahisar province also success stories and the women in micro-credit as a result of the research are examined.
