A study on Yönelişler magazine

Yönelişler is a culture and art magazine which was published 53 issues between years April 1983 and December 1990. The Yönelişler Magazine which was grounded by the leadreship of Ebubekir Eroğlu, Ahmet Yücel and Adnan Tekşen, made an indelible impression by being one of the outstanding magazines of it's term. The magazine allows for especially poems and other literary genres like stories, essays, literature, culture, arts, remarks and critics. September 12th Coup sets forward some changes both in the community and the literature field as well. Yönelişler, becomes the center of new pursuits and changes especially in poetry after the 1980 period. Yönelişler which was against the ideologic expressios in poetry was a magazine contemplating on the art of poetry besides publishing works matching the widespread perception of poetry of its term. The magazine having a young writer staff, as a matter of its obtained mission, undertakes the role of being a school for young poets and contributes to the growth of many names. By this study it is aimed to introduce Yönelişler Magazine in broad strokes. In this context, some information was given about the publication process, form and visual qualifications, editorial policy,staff and literary activities of it , made some determinations about it's perception of poetry and indexed according to author names ,issues and writings in the magazine. It was observed that as a culture and arts magazine Yönelişler attached importance on art and literature activities, was not deaf to it's era and aimed a unique poetry and concept of poetry.
