Abstract (EN)
Qualification of the administrators, the methods they use and their administrative attitudes affect not only the individual units and organizations but entire education system and the society; lead to positive or negative results in the social, economic and political life of our country. Even the administrators with superior competence can stagnate in time. An administrator who is getting stagnate may have a bad influence on the development of the school. The stagnation stems from both individual and organizational reasons. Saving an already stagnated administrator from stagnation is more difficult than preventing stagnation of an administrator. Therefore, the administrator needs to improve him/herself, join in-service education and related seminars. This research is done on the purpose of detecting the level of prevention from stagnation of officiating secondary school directors within the boundaries of Kadıköy district of Istanbul in 2015-2016 school year and offering solutions. In this sample, 396 teachers from the official secondary schools of Kadıköy district of Istanbul have taken place. On the data analysis all individual variances have been calculated by applying frequency (N) and percentage values (%). In order to detect the differences between individual averages, "t Test" has been applied. For detecting the difference among more than two individual averages "ANOVA Test" has been applied. However, since the number of the ones answering some parts of the individual questions about the age and branch was less than 30, the non-parametric method "Kruskal-Wallis Test analysis" corresponding to "ANOVA Test" has been applied. Some of the results obtained from the research that is based on the teacher's opinions are these: Female teachers opine more positively, stating that secondary school administrators prevent themselves from stagnation. Young teachers state that the level of prevention from stagnation of school administrators is higherAdministrators in private schools are giving much more effort to avoid stagnation. Teachers in the branch of foreign languages state more positive opinion. The level of prevention from stagnation of the secondary school administrators has been determined above average as the teachers frequently state. The result is obtained that the administrators avoid stagnation.
