The impact of spiritual leadership behaviors of managers on organizational stress and burnout: A study in hotel enterprises

Employees' thoughts towards their managers, mental and psychological perspectives, the stress environment within the organization and the level of burnout due to stress are important determinants in the healthy execution of organizational activities in hotel businesses. Accordingly, the aim of the study is to reveal the effect of mental leadership behaviours of managers in hotel businesses on the organizational stress and burnout levels of employees. In the research, firstly, the conceptual model was presented by searching the domestic and foreign literature about the concepts that constitute the variables of the research. The data for research purposes were obtained from the employees of (6) five-star hotels operating in Istanbul by using the quantitative research method and the survey technique. Participants' responses to the questionnaire form; factor and reliability analysis, percentage, frequency and arithmetic mean values were subjected to correlation and regression analysis methods. According to the results of the research, it has been determined that the psychological leadership behaviors of the managers have a moderate effect on the organizational stress and burnout levels of the employees and reduce the perceived organizational stress and burnout levels.
