Abstract (EN)
Management Information Systems (MIS) is an information management system organized to assist in decision-making by processing the raw data collected from the internal and external environment of enterprises and transforming it into meaningful information and then producing reports for any level of management. MIS Department continues its education and training activities in 12 different faculties and 3 different colleges in Turkey. The MIS department is a multidisciplinary field that is the intersection of multiple disciplines such as business and informatics, and therefore, course curricula vary depending on the faculty or college where it is located. The aim of this study is to examine the program outcomes in faculties or colleges with different course curricula and to determine the basic competencies that universities expect from MIS specialist candidates depending on the program outcomes. In this study, data were obtained through the web scraping process, and the data were analyzed and coded after pre-processing and making them suitable for coding. As a result of the text mining process, seven basic skills were identified and program outcomes were evaluated by considering the academic units to which the department is affiliated.
