Özet (EN)
The aim of this study was to determine the quality of life of nurses working in Yozgat City Hospital. The research was conducted with 290 of 414 nurses (%70) working in Yozgat City Hospital. Ethical approval and institutional permissions were obtained for conducting the study. Research datas were collected by using descriptive questionnaire form and Turkish version of World Health Organization Quality of Life Short Form (WHOOQL-Bref). Number, percentage, minimum-maximum values, mean and standard deviation were used in the analysis of the data. 73.1% of the nurses are women, 52.4% are single and 41% are bachelors. 53% of the nurses are between 19-29 years old. 56.6% of them have been working for 1-9 years and 66.8% of them have been working for 1-5 years in the same institution. The mean score of the WHOQOL short form somatic subscale of the nurses was 13.09 ± 2.36, the mean score of the sub-dimension of the mental area was 13.39 ± 2.32, the mean score of social domain sub-dimension was 13.35 ± 2.73, the mean score of the sub-dimension of the environmental area is 12,32 ± 2,13. It was found that the environmental area subdimension score of the nurses who think that the number of nurses is sufficient in the institution they work is higher and this difference is statistically significant (p<0,05). While the social area sub-dimension score of the nurses and those who were satisfied with the unit studied were more common, the environmental area sub-dimension score was higher and this difference was statistically significant (p<0.05). It was seen that the quality of life scores of the nurses who did not have sufficient resting time from the nurses had higher physical, mental and environmental area scores and this difference was statistically significant (p<0.05). It was found that the physical, psychological and environmental sub-dimension scores of the nurses who were satisfied with the working hours were higher and this difference was statistically significant (p<0.05). It was found that the quality of life scale of the nurses who were satisfied with the salary had higher social area score and this difference was statistically significant (p<0.05). As a result of these findings, it can be suggested that the quality of life level of the nurses is at a moderate level, arrangements regarding the working hours of the nurses and in-house orientation trainings can be organized.
