Abstract (EN)

Aspartame is a widely used artificial sweetener. In this study, a fast, inexpensive, sensitive, robust and reproducible YPSK-ELSD method was developed and validated for the determination of aspartame in various liquid and tablet samples. Chromatographic separation was performed isocratically and a column with C18 (4.6 x 150mm, 3.5 µm) characteristics was used. The composition of the mobile phase consists of (Water: ACN):(80:20, v/v) organic mixture and the flow rate of the method was applied as 1.00 mL min-1. The ELSD temperature is set to 50 ºC. Column furnace temperature was determined as 30 °C and injection volume was determined as 10 µL. In the YPSK-ELSD system, the Gain value is set to 7, the Filter value is set to 10. In the developed YPSK-ELSD method, LOD and LOQ values of 0.69 ve 2.28 µg mL-1 were obtained, respectively, and the recovery values were determined to be in the range of 86.04% - 110.58%. It was determined that the %BSS value of the applied YPSK-ELSD method was below 1%. The retention time of ASP was reported as 3.5. Analysis time was determined as 6 minutes in the YPSK-ELSD method. In ELSD, the N2 gas pressure is set to 350 kPa. It shows that the YPSK-ELSD method developed and validated in this study can be used in routine ASP determination.
