Abstract (EN)

Nowadays, with advancing technology, important developments are taking place in map making methods. Digitally, the studies using remote sensing methods are becoming widespread. The development of hardware and software used in the production processes of the maps made by photogrammetric methods maintains producing the outputs faster and also increasing their accuracy. The point cloud data, solid models, digital surface models and orthophoto maps produced through photogrammetrically are used in many different sectors as bases. Therefore, it is very important to know the accuracy of these obtained data. Carrier systems using an aerial camera are generally unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), aircraft and satellite images. The most significant distinction between these carrier systems is flight heights. Although there are many studies on UAV and satellite imagery, there are less with aircraft images flying at mid-altitude. In this context, it is aimed to contribute to the literature with this study. Aerial photographs taken as part of the True orthophoto project in 2015 under the technical coordination of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and in partnership with Turkish Catastrophe Insurance Pool (TCIP) were used in the scope of this study. By using these data, photogrammetric mapping process, digital surface model and orthophoto production were made. The obtained data were tested by using terrestrial measurement methods. As a main finding, it is seen that 1/1000 scale map production can be made by means of stereo evaluation; moreover, as compared to terrestrial measurement methods it is seen that the outputs can be obtained faster and in closer sensitivity by using the data produced.
