Abstract (EN)
In this thesis study, high-strength, self-compacting concrete (SCC) series were produced by using basalt and marble crushed aggregate instead of limestone based crushed aggregate and the effect of aggregate type on physical, mechanical and durability properties of concrete were investigated. In addition, in order to provide high strength and self-compacting properties, by using silica fume mineral admixture, the effects of the additive on high-strength SCC properties was assessed. Silica fume and cement were used at constant rates in the production of high strength SCC specimens. Crushed marble and basalt aggregates are replaced by limestone-based aggregates; Cube specimens with dimensions of 100x200 mm and dimensions of 150x150x150 mm were produced by using 25, 50, 75 and 100% by volume. The specimens were standard cured in lime saturated cure pool with a temperature of 20 ± 2 oC for 28 and 180 days. At the end of the cure period; Physical, mechanical and strength tests were performed on the specimens. It is concluded that high strength concretes can be produced using basalt aggregate and waste crushed marble aggregate.
