Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the design, production and characterization of various types of high-gain directional antennas operating in the C-band were carried out. The first of the designed antennas was a waveguide with optimized VSWR values to cover the 5-6 GHz range, excited with an RF probe at one end, and left open and illuminated at the other end. Then, A C-band reflector antenna design was realized by this waveguide illuminating a metal plate (splash plate) placed at the focus of a dish structure. Finally, a 16-element (4x4) array antenna design was manufactured in panel form, which is much more ergonomic than dish antennas for field use. In the first part of the thesis, antenna fundamentals were given, focusing on directional and high-gain antennas. In the following sections, waveguide theory and the use of this theory in antenna design is discussed. Subsequently, dish antenna theory, the design and manufacturing process in C-band are provided with measurement results. Finally, array antenna theory and the 16-element array antenna design process were given in detail. In the last section of the thesis, the results related to the thesis are compiled, and opinions and suggestions are presented regarding the potential future developments on the subject.
