Abstract (EN)

Soil stabilization is defined as improving the physical, chemical, hydraulic and mechanical properties of soils that are insufficient in terms of engineering properties. In this study, lime with high CaO content was chosen as the primary binder, silica fume and marble powder were used as pozzolanic additives. Natural soil is a high plasticity clay according to the Unified Soil Classification System. Marble powder and silica fume were mixed to this soil in 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, without lime and 6% lime (optimum lime ratio). Geotechnical properties of prepared mixtures such as strength and durability were examined in detail. In the light of the obtained data, it was determined that SLS samples containing silica fume and lime had higher strength values than SLM samples containing marble powder and lime and SL samples containing only lime. High strength values up to 5 times have been achieved in lime-containing samples compared to lime-free samples. It was concluded that the samples containing marble powder had higher durability than the samples containing silica fume.
