Abstract (EN)
In this study the expansionist policy in Cyprus adopted by Greece between 1931 and 1974 and its effects on Turkey are discussed. The thesis is about political history of the island between the period from 1931 uprising to 1974 peace operation covering the Cyprus problem, intervention of Greece to the island in the framework of megali idea, the British dominance, independence of the island, Turkey's involvement as a party, intervention of junta administration to the island, and the 1974 Operation. The thesis is assessed in three sections and analyzes the Cyprus problem with its Greek foreign policy and Greek population in Cyprus dimensions.
