Abstract (EN)

The Khojaly massacre has important effects on cultural and artistic fields as well as many other fields. Azerbaijani composers wrote music explaining the bitterness and strong emotions that Hocali folks faced in consequence of this massacre. Yusuf Mirişli's symphonic poem named "613" was written for the Khojaly genocide and was attributed to 613 innocent people who were massacred. The form used in the work "613" was seen as "Symphonic Poem Sonata Form" in the world music. At the first section of the research, information about the Khojali genocide, historical development of 20th century Azerbaijani music, life and works of Yusuf Mirişli and symphonic poem were given, at the second section the method of the research was indicated, and at the third section, musical analysis of the symphonic poem of Yusuf Mirişli named "613" and findings and comments on the work gathered as a result of its formal analysis were explained. The relevant sources were reviewed, and descriptive survey model based on the assessment was used in the study, and during the work analysis, expert opinion was utilized.
