Abstract (EN)

Zamakhshari, Mu'tazilite kalâm expert, has acquired a great fame via his various works in different fields such as linguistics, eloquence, exegesis and kalâm. Zamakhshari's commentary called Al-Kashshâf has influenced the exegetes that lived after him greatly and also it is possible to learn his views of kalâm from his work called al-Minhâj. It is important to examine over these two works his identity as a theologian, Mu'tazilism which he was one of its followers and the Mu'tazilite school that he followed. There are some discussions about Zamakhshari as a follower of Mu'tazilite school. That's why it is important in terms of Islamic thought to bring to light the allegations which claim that he has repented from his Mu'tezilite opinions. Additionally, because Zamakhshari is one of the last Mu'tezilite theologians, shedding light on the background of his thoughts would has a contribution to determine the opinions of the last period Mu'tezilites.
