Abstract (EN)
The objective of this paper discusses a mathematical model for analyzing of the seismic response of infinite soil-structure interaction (SSI) system. This investigation was achieved by a series of comprehensive parametric studies including the effects of realistic material properties of the local soil condition on the structural response via a two dimensional (2D) finite element method in the time domain. The slenderness ratio of the superstructure and the local soil conditions as well as the characteristics of input excitations are important parameters for the numerical simulation in this research. The mechanical behavior of the underlying soil medium considered in this prediction model is simulated by an undrained elasto-plastic model under plane-strain conditions. To show the solutions of this type of problems to civil engineers, comprehensive parametric analysis and systematic calculations are accomplished with different controlling parameters to evaluate the structural response of the vibrating soil-structure system under different seismic loads. The obtained numerically results show that the SSI effect alter significantly the dynamic response of the frame type multistory building excited by a real earthquake ground motion.
