Abstract (EN)

OmpF and OmpC porin which outer membrane protein in Esherichia coli and arranged by many different environmental parameters. İn this study, the effeck of some disinfection chemicals (Formaldehyde, sodium hypochlorite, chlorine, ethanol, SDS and H2O2) on E. coli?s porin protein synthesis level and the factors that control the synthesis mechanism were determined.Regarding to results, all of the chemicals reduced the growth of E. coli. The negative effect of ethanol and SDS was more pronounced than formaldehyde, sodium hypochlorite, H202, and chlorine. OmpC and OmpF porin protein synthesis level were changedby formaldehyde, ethanol, SDS, sodium hypochlorite (bleacher), chlorine and H202. This study is the first report that demonstrates the effect of formaldehyde, chlorine and sodium hypochlorite on E. coli OmpC and OmpF porin proteins synthesis level. It is understood that, presence or absence of RpoS, H-NS, EnvZ ve Acp (pta) molecules play an important role in E. coli porin proteins synthesis under disinfectant stress conditions. But in the future, this study be carried out using double mutants to explain the mechanism of porin protein synthesis more clearly.Key words: Porin proteins, disinfetants
