Abstract (EN)
Autoclaved aerated concrete is a lightweight concrete building material obtained by the addition of pore-forming additives to the mortar, which is formed by combining the binding materials with the fine mineral materials. In this thesis study, autoclaved aerated concrete samples have been produced with industrial raw materials such as zeolite and metakaolin, and waste materials such as blast furnace slag in artificial pozzolan class. The samples were subjected to mechanical and physical tests in an autoclave at a temperature of about 172 °C and a hardness of 8 bar under a steam pressure. For determination of mechanical properties, ıt was applied compressive strength test and physical properties were determined unit weight, ultrasound transition speed test and dynamic elasticity modules were found by using ultrasonic transition time. In addition, drying shrinkage, capilarity and freze thaw measurements were performed on the specimens. Microstructure studies of the samples were carried out using SEM and XRD technique. The thermal conductivity coefficient measurements were made on the specimens determined from the test results. The samples were examined with polarizing microscope and the pore formations were evaluated by image analysis. As a result of, similar values were obtained with commercial autoclaved aerated concrete physical and mechanical properties of the produced samples and 0,12-0,13 W/mK values were obtained in thermal conductivity coefficients.
