Abstract (EN)

In this study, the poems included in the books "Rumeli, O Benim İşte" and "Rüyalarım Çiçek Açtı" by Zeynel Beksaç are examined in the context of the Turkish language as a means of constructing national identity. Kosovo, where the Turkish language and Turkish population currently reside in the Balkans, has been a cradle for poets from past to present. Many artists nurtured by Prizren have contributed to the preservation of Turkish culture and the Turkish language up to the present day. Following the Turkish migration from Rumelia after the Balkan Wars, both the Turkish language and the Turkish population in the region experienced a decline. Subsequently, efforts have been made to preserve national identity. Magazines, poems, and books that keep Turkish literature and the Turkish language alive and enable future generations to construct their national identities are important publications for the Turkish people in the Rumeli region. The unique works produced by Zeynel Beksaç and other figures are crucial for ensuring the permanence of Turkish identity and the Turkish language for future generations in the region. As a Rumelian Turk, Zeynel Beksaç, through his poems, paintings, and cultural-artistic activities, has assumed the responsibility of preserving national identity and passing it on to future generations as a frontier guardian of the Turkish language. He emphasizes the idea that this region, where the Turkish population has lived for centuries, cannot be independent of the Turkish language. Zeynel Beksaç's poems have been examined in the context of the Turkish language as a means of constructing national identity, providing detailed information about the Turkish language and population. Key Words: Zeynel Beksaç, Prizren, Idenity, National Idenity, Turkish, Migration, Rumelia.
