Abstract (EN)
Motor development is like a pyramid. In other words, each development period is built on another. Therefore, the healthy completion of one period affects the progress of the other period. In child development, each development area is very important separately. Muscle development is very important especially for children between 0 and 6 years old. In this context, it was aimed to investigate the motor development levels of 3-6 year old girls and boys in the kindergarten and nurseries in Rize center according to the TGMD-II test. The universe of this study is children between the ages of 3-6 who study in nursery education centers and kindergartens in Rize city center in 2018-2019 academic year. The sample of the study consists of 203 healthy girls / boys selected by voluntary coincidence. The sample group was formed by obtaining permission from the required individuals and institutions. In testing hypotheses, firstly the normality distributions of the data were examined. According to the normality of the data, Mann-Whitney-U or T-Test was used in pairwise comparisons at anlamlı0.05 significance level, and Kruskall-Wallis or ANOVA tests in comparisons of three or more. Test results; Boy Lengths (P <0.05), Weight (P <0.05), Locomotor Skills (P <0.05), Object Control Skills (P <0.05), and Total TGMD Skills (P <0.05), School Type and Age all subtests (P <0.05) were found significant.
