Abstract (EN)
There is no doubt that Şer?iyye registers which are local court records of Ottoman Empire are indispensable documents of our social, cultural and economic history as well as they are the most important resources of city historiography. Our study covers the first part of Şer?iyye registers numbered 1 containing one of these document dated 1183-1241 AH (1769-1825 AD) The transcription and evaluation of this book approximately consist of 194 pa.g.es was done. It is seen that the documents taking place in this part are related to the issues like herita.g.e, divorce and demand of Mahr estate records, pecuniary causes, appointment of guardian and a Proxy, claim of alimony, animal burglary, physical injury and massacre. As a consequence, it was tried to determine Ahıska?s social and economic status between 1769 ? 1825 years.
