Abstract (EN)
This study aimed to highlight a valuable scientific impact: "Comments by Sheikh Ismail bin Muhammad al-Jadidi al-Kurdi (d. 1389 AH) on the interpretation of "Madarik Altanzil" of Imam Al-Nasafi (d. 710(. The scope of this study is specifies by Surat al-Fatihah until the end of Surat al-Imran. The importance of the footnote(hashiyah) comes from the importance of Al-Nasafi's interpretation, shined among the interpretations alongside Al-Baydawi's interpretation, and the fact that this footnote had not been investigated before, in addition to the status of Sheikh Al-Jadidi, who combined his knowledge of principles, branches, language, and speech. His footnote to Al-Nasafi is full of linguistic jokes and logical benefits. He headed religious education in his time. This study relied on a single manuscript written in the handwriting of Mulla Abdul Hamid Ibn al-Sheikh al-Jadidi. The study also followed the historical descriptive approach when translating Al-Nasafi and Al-Jadidi, introducing their era and the events that took place in it, presenting their biography and scientific biography, and the method of investigation and commentary in dealing with the text by copying it, adjusting it, producing it as the author intended, and highlighting the sayings and attributing them to their sources. One of the most important results that the author was one of the most distinguished Kurdish scholars in northern Iraq and lived in the era of general scientific renaissance in his country in the period between the 19th and 20th centuries AD. His comments on Al-Nasafi's book were distinguished by his extensive editing of linguistic, rhetorical, and theological issues and issues. Which reveals the breadth of his knowledge, his exploration of these sciences, and his mastery of them. He also based his explanation on the most important famous interpretive sources, such as the interpretations of Al-Baydawi, Al-Nasafi, and Al-Zamakhshari, and their explanations, especially Sheikh Zadeh's commentary on Al-Baydawi, which has been widely quoted. The footnote was dominated by the method of literal transmission and quotation, and Al-Jadidi did not correct or comment on much of what he transmitted and quoted. Likewise, the fidelity and accuracy of the transmission appears in what he took and benefited from the scholars who preceded him, therefore, his comments are considered as one of the most valuable and finest works edited by contemporary scholars on the interpretation of Al-Madarik by Al-Nasafi. This annotation is predominantly educational in nature, as it came in the form of a course in the subject of interpretation of the Holy Qur'an.
