ABSTRACT MASTER'S THESIS 1935-1936 ADANA TÜRK SÖZÜ NEWSPAPER LONDON AND BERLIN NEWS GÜRBÜZ, İsmihan Department of History Advisor: Doç. Dr. Gülin Öztürk August 2024, 82 pages In this research, the daily and political newspaper Adana Türk Sözü, which started to be published on January 1, 1934, was examined. The newspaper, which has an important place in the local press of Adana, started its publishing life near the government office in Adana, and its founder and chief writer is Ferit Celal Bey. The responsible manager is Fahri Bey. It was published until 1966 with his brother Nevzat Güven and its staff that changed over time. Although the newspaper was a newspaper with mostly political content, it also included current news from time to time. Adana and its surroundings were featured in local news. The newspaper, which devoted its last page to announcements and advertisements, became one of the leading newspapers of Adana at that time. In addition to national and international news, he has made significant contributions to Adana by bringing many news and information about the political, social, economic and cultural structure of Adana's history to his readers. In the study, the news in Adana Türk Sözü newspaper was translated into today's Turkish by using the archive scanning method. The newspaper's publishing life, editorial staff, mentality, and views on internal and external developments were evaluated. This study, based on the collection of Adana Türk Sözü newspaper, was supported by other sources. Thus, the events of the period were verified. With this study, the contributions of the Turkish Word to our press history in Türkiye in general and in Adana in particular have been revealed.
