Turkish-German relations between 1938-1960

Germany is a globally important country known for its strong economy and vibrant political environment. He has an important role as the primary authority figure within the European Union. Throughout its existence, it has effectively proven itself as an important determinant in influencing the future of the world. Germany had a profound impact on geopolitical landscapes and power dynamics during both world wars. The Ottoman Empire played a very important role as Germany's main ally throughout the First World War. The historical ties between Germany and Turkey, which suffered a similar fate after the First World War, are deep-rooted. Currently, diplomatic relations between the two countries have reached their peak. Germany is a country with the largest population of Turkey Turks compared to other countries in the world. Additionally, Germany is Turkey's leading economic partner. Germany is currently Turkey's second most important importer of weapons and military equipment. Germany also has some expectations for Turkish territory, rooted in the historical Eastern Question. It is alleged that Germany provides support to terrorist organizations in Turkey, participates in illegal activities through German Foundations, and actively implements assimilation and discriminatory laws against Turks living in Germany. The main purpose of this study is to examine Germany and its historical ties with our country. Within the scope of the study, firstly, Ottoman-German relations are examined; Then, the relations during the period of the Committee of Union and Progress are examined; Then, the relations between 1938 and 1960, which are the main focus of the study, are discussed.
