Abstract in the context of collage in Turkish painting after 1950 trends and pictorial analysis

Collage's entry into the art of painting was manifested by Cubism. Afterwards, Dada developed and interpreted by many current artists such as Pop Art, Conceptual Art and Surrealism. This work; It is prepared to emphasize the place of collage in the history of art, its period of change and its importance in art history by including Turkish painting after 1950. The irrepressible change of the material, the artists who freely benefit from the diversity beyond the borders and their works are mentioned. In the first part of this study, the definition of collage and the way it is handled in world art, in the second part, the conditions that prepare the introduction of collage to Turkish Art in the Context of Abstract Painting, then its place in contemporary Turkish Art and the artists of the period are mentioned. At this stage, the artists and their styles that use the "material" in different ways are emphasized. In the last part, collage works are included in the context of abstract painting and pictorial analysis is made. Our aim is to illustrate the development stages in the world art and its place in Turkishpainting with the introduction of the collage technique and to illustrate the diversity in its use. In summary, to examine the development of collage in Turkish Painting in general terms and to conclude by explaining the way I use collage in my own works
