Reflections of masculinity in the Novels of our woman novelists after 1980 (Adalet Ağaoğlu, Ayla Kutlu, Leyla Erbil, Erendiz Atasü)

One of the major authors of Turkish literature after 1980, Adalet Ağaoğlu, Ayla Kutlu, erendiz atasü and Leyla Erbil aiming to address the views of masculinity in the novels, this thesis is based on gender stereotypes of masculinity and the construction of masculinities focused on the phenomenon of masculinity caused by this phenomenon. The thesis, which focuses on the concept of gender, patriarchy, erk, and masculinity and hegemonic masculinity patterns, dealt with the images of masculinity in each novel separately. These fictions of masculinity, in which both the social and psychological states of the male protagonists are in conflict with their social roles, have made it necessary to create a new masculinity construction about these male characters. This study is a review that determines the characteristics of the images of masculinity drawn through the eyes of women novelists after 1980 and at this point also outlines the concept of masculinity, which is "taboo" as a society through men.
