Decisions and evaluation of religious education and teaching in national education councils from 1990 to present

This thesis focuses on the decisions taken in relation to religious education and teaching in National Education Councils from 1990 to present. The main aim of our study is to examine the decisions taken in relation to religious education and teaching in National Education Councils from 1990 to present, to determine and analyze how these decisions are discussed, to investigate and evaluate whether the decisions taken in relation to religious education and teaching have been implemented. The basic concepts of our study are "National Education Councils, religious education and teaching". In relation to these concepts "Moral Education, Values Education, Character Education, Adult Education, Imam Hatip High Schools, 8-year compulsory education, coefficient problem, 4+4+4 sub-concepts such as" education system " have also been addressed. Since 1990, many issues have been agenda items in the National Education Council, some of the decisions taken in the council have been implemented and some of them have not been fully implemented. The subject of religious education and education did not see the value it deserved in the councils; only four of the councils made since 1990 referred to the education of religion, morality and values. The concept of religious education and teaching was not included as the main agenda item in any of the areas covered by our research.
