Abstract (EN)
Earthquake is waving and shaking of the earth by spreading vibrations which are createfrom breakes in the earth?s crust.With this natura levent we saw that the place which assumedas motionaless and we walk on safely can move and all of the buildings on this land can bedamaged and be destroyed resulted with life loses.In this syudy, formation and properties of earthquakes are mentioned. The CeyhanEarthquake which happened at 1998 was observed and information about damages happened onstructures is given.Effects of earthquake on reinforced concrete structures and behaviors ofthese elements are exposed to earthquake is mentioned.Rank of damaged buildings anddamages on carrier system is solved by IdeCAD Static 5.0 Structural Analysis Program withusing old earthquake regulations ,and then systems are resolved with 1997 EarthquakeRegulation.Finally analysis result were taken with determining insufficient structural elementsand strengthening structure.Key Words: Earthquake,Earthquake of Ceyhan,Properties of Earthquake,StructuralDamages,Repairing and Strengthening.XI
