Abstract (EN)

Youth unemployment is a concept whose range of definitions can be expanded depending on institutional, structural, political and socio-cultural factors. The age limit for youth unemployment is generally the 15-24 age range. In industrialized economies, the upper limit of this age band may vary. The lower limit is usually the age at which the compulsory education period ends. The costs of youth unemployment to the economy, society and the individual are relatively high. When the issue is addressed in the context of sex, these costs and gender inequality are increasing further.Youth women's unemployment, which is a problem for both developed and developing economies, is at high rates in our country and causes various problems. In this study, Youth women's unemployment in Turkey between 2000 and 2018 was divided according to age groups and an assessment of its causes was made.
