Abstract (EN)

In today's era, the influence of postmodern thought on literature is undoubtedly observable through works. This perspective witnesses significant changes in literature, especially in novels. Based on approaches that consider postmodern thought to be a system of thought, the changes this state of mind brings about in novels are seen to be focused on aspects such as technique and editing. Essentially the product of a critical approach, this "system of thought" tends to question itself and all events and phenomena that preceded it. At this point, new historicism exhibits a critical theory, an approach to problematizing the past through parody. This study aims to demonstrate how parody emerges in texts from the perspective of new historicism and to demonstrate the fictional structure that brings parody and new historicist critical theory closer together. Parody genres are categorized according to the prominent approaches identified through the novels. Two theories considered to be related are examined through the parody genres that emerge in novels and are categorized into parody genres based on their fictionalization techniques. New historicism critical theory brings the historical fictionalization of the past to fiction through various approaches, including parody. Therefore, this study examines the different approaches prominent in novels, in terms of technique and plot, based on criticism, a common approach between the two theories, under the subheading "types of parody."
