Abstract (EN)
Cinema, which is the seventh art branch, continues its progress by making use of other art branches. The first point where a movie meets the target audience is the poster. In this study, the posters of the movies were analyzed by using the semiotic analysis method of Roland Barthes. As a sample, domestic horror films that were screened in Turkey between 2010-2020 were selected and films with high IMDB scores were determined and it was decided to examine them. The aim of the study is to determine the cultural interactions of the posters on the audience by examining the posters with semiotic analysis, starting from the similarities and differences of the posters, which is the point where the target audience first meets with the aforementioned films.
