Abstract (EN)
This thesis presents the performance of cable-stayed bridge by representing two models using the ANSYS program under the influence of a concentrated load and then comparing them with the experimental results. two model used in the analytical, first one was (harp type1) used length of girder (4500mm), high of pylon (1480mm) and depth of flange for girder (40mm), while the second one was (harp type2) like the dimensions of the first model, but the difference is in the girder's flange depth, which reaches in this model is (25mm). When cable-stayed bridges are built using the balanced cantilever method, the girder's stability problem is more acute during construction than in the initial state. In this study experimental and analytical experiments were done for two models: Harp type 1 and Harp type 2, to evaluate the ultimate behavior of cable-stayed bridges. Several plastic hinges formed at the limit state, and the girders buckled throughout the whole span. For each experimental model, a numerical analysis was performed, with the findings showing good agreement with the experimental data. The impact of such factors on cable-stayed bridge analysis and structural behavior has been thoroughly investigated in this study. The dimensions of the model were also compared with ICE Code in relation to the tower's height to the main span, and back span to main span ratio. It was within to standard specifications.
