Abstract (EN)

This thesis examines the employer's positive obligations toward female employees within the framework of the Labor Law No. 4857 and other relevant regulations. The first section elaborates on equality and the prohibition of discrimination as constitutional principles, focusing on the mechanisms that protect female employees against challenges in the workplace. The second section evaluates the employer's protective and supportive measures for women, particularly regarding pregnancy, maternity, and breastfeeding periods. While identifying the barriers to achieving equality for women in the workplace, the study highlights shortcomings in the implementation of positive obligations and suggests areas for improvement. Consequently, the thesis concludes that labor law should be approached from a more inclusive perspective, integrating gender equality and women's rights into its framework.
