The 49th register of religious laws of Kütahya

VI ABSTRACT Religios laws are the most important ones of our historical resources. Thanks to tehese resources we can learn the Ottoman history truly. The researches that will be made without studying the religious laws will be deficient and even wrong. Because, in these documents, it is possible to find information about proxy, will, contracts, giving as a real estate, book keeping of a foundation, taxes, official records, official letter samples and more. Besides, thanks to these documents, we are informed obout the military, political, literary, economic, judicial and social structures concerning the period that will be studied. The 49 'th numbered religios laws of Kütahya includes the year A.H. 1290-1291. This means the years A.D. 1873-1874. The judges recorded the trials in the religios registers concerning these years. We are informed about the names of cities and willages concerning the years said above in. The 49'th numbered religios laws of Kütahya. Moreover by studying these documents we can realize that some city and village names had changed. Thanks to these documents we are informed about the family structure concerning that period. And we are also informed about the economic structure of that period by studying the inheritance goods and their values. This study is thought that it assists in the history of Kütahya a bit as other studies do.
