Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to examine the development of balance and reaction time in adolescents with hearing impairments. The research was conducted using a quasi-experimental pre-test post-test control group design, one of the quantitative research methods. A total of 20 individuals participated in the study, with 10 individuals in both the experimental and control groups. Balance and reaction tests were administered as pre-tests and post-tests. The results of the study indicated that the training program applied to the experimental group led to statistically significant improvements in both balance levels and reaction times (p<0.05). In contrast, no significant changes were observed in these parameters in the control group (p>0.05). Additionally, significant differences were found between the balance and reaction measurements of the experimental and control groups (p<0.05). These findings suggest that the training program implemented had positive effects on the balance and reaction times of adolescents with hearing impairments. Furthermore, the results emphasize the importance of specially designed training programs to support the motor development of individuals with hearing impairments.
