Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to examine the problem solving skills and responsibility value levels of the 7th grade students in the social studies program and the effects of these on ınter-family communications. For this purpose, various scales were applied to two hundred and fifty seventh grade students studying in two public secondary schools in Bozüyük district of Bilecik province in the 2019-2020 academic year. The research scales are "Problem Solving Inventory for Children," "Responsibility Scale for Children" and "Family Relationships Scale for Children". In addition, the "Personal Information Form" developed by the researcher was distributed to the students and asked to be filled in. SPSS.25 package program was used in the analysis of the data. The distribution of the data obtained from the personal information form and the scales was subjected to descriptive analysis. Independent Sample T-Test, One-Way Anova Analysis and Simple Regression Analysis were used in hypothesis testing. A statistically significant relationship was found between the level of responsibility of the students participating in the study and the level of communication within the family. However, it was also revealed that the level of responsibility affects the level of communication within the family in a direct proportion, and as the level of responsibility of the sample increases, the level of communication within the family also increases. As a result of the study, no significant relationship was found between the level of responsibility and problem solving skills.
