An assement about the comparisons of the subject thats is being thouht the 8 History of the Republic of Turkey and Atatürkism lessons about the Period of Struggle to Nutuk

In this research, a comparison is made between the topics related to the National Struggle Period and the book 'Nutuk' with the 8th-grade Turkish Revolution History and Kemalism textbook. The study provides an evaluation based on this comparison. The research employs a qualitative research method, specifically document analysis. The primary sources used in this study are Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's 'Nutuk' and the 8th-grade Turkish Revolution History and Kemalism textbook published by Bir-YAY, which is taught in middle schools and Imam Hatip middle schools during the 2021-2022 academic year. According to the findings of the research, the Turkish Revolution History and Kemalism textbook includes important topics emphasized in 'Nutuk', but lacks detailed elaboration on these subjects. The National Struggle Period is presented in both 'Nutuk' and the textbook with the support of visual materials. The Turkish Revolution History and Kemalism textbook directly quotes 'Nutuk' in 16 instances. It is suggested that more direct quotations from 'Nutuk', which is the most significant source for the Turkish Revolution History and Kemalism course, would be more effective for the National Struggle Period. Additionally, it was observed that in the 8th-grade Turkish Revolution History and Kemalism textbook for the 2021-2022 academic year, the subject matter is reinforced with referenced texts in the units. Especially starting from the second unit, if the source texts are prepared by benefiting from 'Nutuk', the primary source for Turkish Revolution History and Kemalism, it is believed that a more efficient utilization of 'Nutuk' could be achieved for the textbook
