Abstract (EN)

This study evaluates the ergonomic risks faced by workers during the assembly of an 8 m³ feed mixing and distribution machine using the Cornell Musculoskeletal Discomfort Questionnaire and the REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) method. Eight male workers employed on the assembly line participated in the study, with ages ranging from 27 to 46 years. It was determined that 87.5% of the participants were smokers and did not engage in physical exercise. According to the questionnaire results, the most commonly reported discomfort was in the neck, shoulder, and lower back regions. REBA analysis revealed that all 19 assembly stages posed ergonomic risks requiring intervention. The lowest REBA score was 2, observed during hydraulic pipe assembly, while the highest score was 12, recorded during axle assembly. The study identified the most strained body regions as the lower back, neck, shoulders, wrists, and knees. Risk levels were notably elevated during tasks involving static postures, bending, and arm elevation. Based on these findings, it was concluded that performing assembly operations on a height-adjustable platform, implementing job rotation, and providing ergonomics training could help prevent musculoskeletal disorders and reduce occupational accidents.
