Abstract (EN)

This study aims to examine the vocabulary of two 16th-century biographical anthologies written in Anatolia Sehî Bey's Tezkire and Beyânî's Tezkire. Focusing on the earliest work of the period Heşt-Bihişt, and the final one Tezkiretü'ş-Şuʻarâ, the research seeks to trace the development and transformation of the language used in these texts, as well as to identify their common linguistic features. The study is composed of six chapters. It begins with an overview of the concept of vocabulary and previous research in the field. This is followed by a historical and linguistic assessment of the 16th century, along with an introduction to the tezkire tradition and the prose style of the era. The core of the study involves the classification of words according to their conceptual domains. After listing the vocabulary elements found in the texts, an evaluative section is presented. The thesis concludes with a general summary and references.
