Abstract (EN)

The purpose of survey is to make a analysis of learning of 9th grade in mathematic students within the frame of MATH taxonomy. By investigating which the level of learning and thinking skills of students are, making a detailed analysis is intended. Investigation is a qualitative, special case work. Data which is obtained from work is analyzed with a qualitative treatment. The sample of investigation is constituted by 60 voluntary 9th grade class students from Yunus Emreh Fen Lisesi that is in Manisa Province. In investigation, exams and structured interview forms which are arranged within the frame of MATH taxonomy, are used. Analysis of data after being evaluated under categories of MATH taxonomy and necessary solutions are done. Accodingly, while students have been seen to have the most diffuculty in working B and C categories, in A category they become more successful than other categories. It is evaluated that while the most successful category in which they become, is A; Category, in which success is low, is C3 category. Within frame of results, acquired by investigation also, when high level thinking skills of students are examined as a process, the importance more natured evalution is understood. Within this context, MATH taxonomy is an important taxonomy device to make a natured evalution. Key words: MATH Taxonomy, assessment and evaluation, mathematics course learning
