Abstract (EN)
In this study, SiC-B4C and B4C-Y2O3 particle reinforced Al matrix composite materials manufacturing by powder metallurgy (P/M) is to be aimed. Reinforced composite materials are used in different particle size and ratio. AA2024 powder was chosen as the matrix material. Homogeneously mixing powders compressed at room temperature under 525 MPa pressure. Pressed samples was sintered about 45 minutes at different temperatures. Produced composite materials, the three point bending and wear tests were applied and was made hardness test and density analysis. The results of this study; different grain size and the addition of reinforcement materials in the matrix at different ratio; at different temperatures, three-point bending resistance, wear resistance, hardness and density changes, were examined. SEM, EDS, Optical Microscope and XRD analyzes were performed.
