The revolt movements in the first century of the Abbasid Period in the Jazeera region

In this study, the revolt movements occurred in the first century of the Abbasid period, and the attitude of Caliphates towards these movements, have been examined. Abbasid, since the first day that they came to power, have made every effort to assimilate other tribes living in the Jazeera region. In response to this, there have been many revolt movements. Abbasid managed to suppress these movements, even if very bloody. Many figure involved in various stages of the Umayyad period, have perform the leadership of these movements. This study is composed of an introduction and three parts . In the first section, the Khariji revolt movements against to the Abbasid caliphates were examined. In the second section, the Umayyads opposition movements against to Abbasid Caliphates and the effects of these movements were analyzed. In the third section, the various movements against to Abbasid Caliphates ; the tribal opposition in Jazeera region, Alevite rebellions and uprisings in Mosul were examined .
