Abdülahad Nuri̇'s press studies in Kastamonu: 1921 - 1923

Subject of this research consist of Adiilahad Nuri's press studies in Kastamonu. In this research not only one of the well-known writer has been introduced but also 125 articles and 23 poems of him which were published by the press in Kastamonu during Turkish War of Independence. These writings which consist of articles and poems, are important because they enlighten the past while putting forward the incidents which has happened in this period. Written articles and poems by the writer are very rich and diversified especially if we consider that they were published in tough times as Turkish War of Independence was continuing, Ottoman Empire had collapsed and Republic of Turkey was founded. Some of the articles were summarized and rest of the articles and poems were translated into Latin Alphabet directly from Ottoman Turkish in the research. This research obviously shows the support of well-known writers in Kastamonu to the revolution and foundation process of Turkish Republic during and after the war. The writings of Abdülahad Nuri which were published in Kastamonu Press between 1921-1923 are taken from the Journal of Doğu and Açıksöz newspaper.
